What is vehicles tracking system?
The vehicles tracking and positioning system is based and uses a variety of service provider, such as GPS (Global Positioning System) - to determine the exact location of vehicles, GPRS - to tramnsmit the data from the car to the control center and the Internet - for visual display.
The vehicle is fitted with a device that has a GPS receiver, by which determines the exact position, and in itself is a GSM/GPRS module that uses a cellular network to transfer data to the server.
In addition to the basic parameters of speed, direction of movement and exact position, the device can send several different status, which can detect, and those are the level of battery voltage, fuel level, detecting the opening/closing doors and the luggage space, activating a panic button, and in particular keys defined by the end user (temperature sensor, speed, i-button to identify drivers ...). Thus collected information is sent to the dispatch center where they are processed.
Users of our system through a web application can monitor their vehicles in real time, review the history of the movement of each vehicle individually, view reports such as the sliding distance (mileage), periods of downtime, speeding etc. for all vehicles, a group or individually during the choosen period. So very quickly and easily come up with data related to all vehicles.
Who are the users of the system?
Users of the system are all fleets for whom fleet management and its cost is important: public companies and institutions (public utilities, emergency transportation ...), and bus companies, taxi services, courier services, companies involved in delivery, construction companies, customer service, or companies involved in providing repair services of all kinds, small fleets and vehicles of individuals who want to protect their property.
What are the benefits of vehicle tracking system?
From the perspective of the current user can be said that it have multiple uses. First, it was determined that the investment in such a system quickly repaid as the system ie. number of vehicles is bigger, which is logical, because in such systems there is possibility for greater abuse. The fastest way to feel the savings is in fuel consumption through a dramatic drop in mileage. The average for the fleet, the funds allocated for fuel, can be reduced by an average of 20 - 40%, and in some systems the savings were as high as 50%.
Direct consequence of the reduction in mileage is costs for maintaining vehicles which are not small in each fleet (depreciation, regular services, spare parts ...). If You add the costs of unduly paid daily wages for drivers, it's very clear of how big the savings are.
In addition, this system has provided insight into the current possition of the vehicles, including the time planning and organization of transport. Very easy to acquire and insight into the use of vehicles, where You can for each vehicle, at a certain time, have precise statistics, how many hours the vehicle were used.
In addition, increases the level of vehicle security. So far there have been cases of car theft, which were returned for 15 minutes without any damage with a fast and efficient cooperation between police and the control center.
