IP telephony

Transmission of telephone calls through IP network. Regardless of whether it is Internet, your local network or eCotrol L2VPN Service, the primary goal of IP Telephony was to cut down telephone call costs, especially long-distance and international calls. Today, however, the range of advantages and use, has considerably extended, introducing the IP technology as one of the standard corporate solutions.

Basic services provided by eControl:

Long distance trunking of T1/E1 lines (e.g. between two of your facilities, connecting            telephone exchanges in Belgrade and Novi Sad). For implementation of this service, we            use Motorola T1_MUX device,
Long distance trunking of ISDN/PSTN lines using L2VPN service and Cisco or Linksys            solutions,
Connecting of two or more long-distance telephone exchanges. For example, you have a            telephone exchange in Subotica and Zrenjanin. By cross-connecting of two incoming lines            from two locations, we can provide the possibility for telephone communication between            all users of both telephone exchanges in both cities, as if they were connected to one            telephone exchange (2-channel each, i.e. two calls at a time. Number of channels can be            extended).
Providing of internal calls using our telephone exchange. The service is very suitable in            situations when, for example, 15 participants have to communicate among themselves.

In addition to implementation of the above described services, if you are the user of L2VPN or L3VPN services, using one of your VoIP solutions, we can, on your request activate QoS and High Priority Channel or the required capacity.

Implementation

Use your existing WAN\LAN network for telephoning. The level of upgrading of your existing telephone system depends on the type of service you need.

If long distance trunking of T1/E1, ISDN or PSTN lines and connecting of two or more telephone exchanges is performed, then only mux/fxs/fxo devices should be added to the existing telephone exchange. Your local telephone network and telephone devices remain unchanged. Advantages are immediately visible, because each user has the possibility to select new extensions by which he can directly access a long-distance telephone exchange and its telephone extensions.

If the replacement of a telephone exchange wit a new one with VoIP functions is performed, it is usually necessary, depending on the type of telephone exchange, to replace classic telephone sets with VoIP telephone sets. The network connecting VoIP telephone exchange with VoIP telephone sets is identical to the computer network and in most cases the complete computer network or part of the existing computer (LAN) network can be used. Each VoIP telephone set operates as classic Ethernet device.

If you need only internal telephone communication (e.g. between a construction site or shops), you can use free of charge service of our VoIP telephone exchange(available only to L2VPN and L3VPN users). In this case, you are provided with a combined VoIP/PSTN telephone set.
